Dr Rod Cullen, Senior Lecturer in Technology-Enhanced Learning from MMU will lead an exciting webinar on Tuesday the 28th of April, 12-1pm GMT* during which we will discuss Formative Assessment
In Rod’s own words: “Formative assessment is recognised as an essential aid to student learning. However it can be challenging not only to provide helpful, timely feedback on formative activities but also to get students to utilise it. In this respect it is essential to have a carefully designed, integrated assessment strategy as part of any teaching provision. The options available to academics for providing feedback are more varied that ever and go beyond the traditional written formats to include audio and video feedback. This webinar will explore issue around the design of formative assessment strategies and will present evidence from practical experiences in several subject areas.”
We hope you will be able to join us.

About Teaching & Learning Conversations
TLC is an exciting cross-institutional collaboration to provide open CPD opportunities for everybody teaching and/or supporting learning in Higher Education. TLC brings together colleagues from different disciplines, institutions and countries. TLCs are also open to students in HE and we are very interested in including students’ contributions to the programme.
Together, we discuss and debate a variety of current teaching and learning topics in a series of webinars which provide a great opportunity to reflect on and share good practice and to find out what is happening beyond your own institution the more global HE landscape.
All webinars are open to the wider community to join.
Please feel free to share the link to the TLC programme and individual webinars with others who might also be interested. Further information and recordings from previous webinars can be found at http://www.celt.mmu.ac.uk/flex/tlc.php
