The passion of our staff for sustainability has been demonstrated on many occasions, it was with this in mind that we developed ‘Ideas into Action’. Our pilot programme aims to empower staff to suggest ideas for projects, which will help us on our journey to become one of the most sustainable universities.
Since September, we have invited ideas linked to our sustainability commitments, ideas that could help us to increase awareness of sustainability issues among staff and students to increasing biodiversity on campus. Following a review process, we have been working with those staff who submitted their ideas and developing these into live projects. All eligible for funding through our programme.
We have four projects taking place during our pilot year. All ideas submitted by staff from across the university each working with colleagues in the Environment Team to deliver these.
