Engaging with Education for Sustainable Development (ESD)

Wednesday 2nd March 2016, 10am-12noon, Business School, 4.06a

Engaging with ESD is an introductory level workshop for all practitioners involved in supporting student learning. You will have the opportunity to identify your role in educating MMU students for responsible futures. You will also learn about ESD in national and institutional contexts.

This is part of the Teaching and Learning Essentials (TALE) programme http://www.celt.mmu.ac.uk/tale/index.php

Full details about TALE and registration to workshops: http://www.celt.mmu.ac.uk/cpd/viewcourse.php?unit_id=140

TALE will be of particular interest to Graduate Teaching Assistants (GTAs), Associate Lecturers (ALs) and professional staff involved in supporting student learning as it provides flexible, bite sized opportunities to engage in academic CPD, refresh skills and obtain academic credit and/or professional recognition. Teaching theories that connect to student engagement and learning inform the workshops, but the overall approach is very practical. TALE workshops align to both MMU’s LTA strategy and the UKPSF.
